One of our family traditions is to spend a day in the mountains hiking and having a picnic; hence the name Family Picnic. The children love to explore and look for wildlife. This year Sophia and I spotted a small buck deer coming right towards us. Sophie was so excited she started yelling for everyone to come and see the deer. I thought for sure she would spook the buck, but to our surprise he stuck around
so everyone could take a look. The trail we hiked on followed a small creek and we saw several beaver dams as well as a couple beavers. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed being together as a family and enjoying the beauty of God's creations. 
The Children enjoyed playing in this field of wildflowers and eating a cookie. Another highlight of the day was shooting the BB gun. Everyone got a turn. Michael helped the little ones and made sure the children followed the rules for gun safety.
It was a great day. Can't wait until next year!

Yeah, you did it! Peer pressure isn't always bad. It is so fun to see your kids. My kids love it too. It looks like you had a fun picnic, and very beautiful.
I hope this blogging does help you remember to take more pictures. Then you already have a record of what your family has done. There is a way you can have all your blog entries put into a book. You won't even have to scrapbook them if you don't want. Anyway I think it is a good thing. I'm excited that you have now joined the blogging world. Love ya.

Your blog looks way cute! I am so glad you joined us all. Like Michele said peer pressure isn't always bad. Now we all get to see your cute kids more. Your familiy picnic always looks like fun. The girls look like they had fun picking flowers. I can't believe how long Sophie's hair looks.
